Goals

So we officially set our goals as individuals and families last week...mine to get healthy, control my temper, attend temple more often, read scriptures daily, pray more often, and learn to sew/knit/quilt...one of the above.

So I have started my get healthy especially after Steve's work health evaluation I definitely need to get healthier...so what am I doing you ask...good question...I tried walking on the treadmill but that seems to bore because I feel like I am getting no where, so I need to find a better show or movie to watch to motivate me. So now I have tackled on Wii Active's 30 day challenge...so far I have made it through 2 1/2 workouts...why the 1/2 because after doing over 100 squats I gave up and was ready to throw the remote at the wii(thus the anger management goal...pretty funny watching me yell at the wii over and over again because it wasn't picking up my squats even though my bum was touching the ground. But later on I figured out the remote was in the leg strap wrong and that was my problem...duh!!!). So here I start at ___ lbs...sorry I just can't put my weight up yet I just don't feel comfortable enough to do that yet. And my goal is by my b-day May 12 to have lost 15 lbs and do Sharon's dualathon with her, Doug, and Steve (guess I better learn to ride a bike with brakes on the handle and not the peddles (I know weird huh...this is another story to be told)...and then by Sept. 1 15 more lbs. And by December maintain or an additional 10lbs wouldn't be bad.

As far as the anger goes...my lesson has already started on teaching me how to control it...make me the RS teacher for TFOT and teach President Monson's anger management talk from conference...Heavenly Father sure knows what he is doing and has a great sense of humor to teach us things. :)

And for the sewing...I am going to start with learning to do pillows with Emily and sew Byron's scout badges on...and then we will go from there.

So good luck on your goals and hopefully this time next year I will be 30-40 lbs lighter, healthier, calmer, and a decent seamstress!
