Happy Birthday Benny!!

So my little Benjamin turned 4. I can't believe how big he is getting...he is definitely not a baby anymore, or a toddler, he is our little boy...and I love his funny and sometimes moody personality. He keeps me on my toes, and is so honest about everything. I love how he can make me laugh and the funny way he dances, and how much knowledge he has about the gospel. He has been a blessing to our lives because of his contagious laugh, his funny faces, and how he can go from being sad to mad to happy in a matter of seconds. Benny's b-day was this past Monday (the 18th) and he was awakened by Byron and Emily singing Happy Birthday (with Emily's special cha cha's). Then he had his favorite breakfast chocolate milk and scrambled eggs with ketchup. Then we spent the day making his cakes, waiting impatiently for his party, watching his favorite movie, playing his favorite games, and doing a little shopping. Then we had his friend party at the Duck Pond Park by our house. He had two little friends show up and they had fun chasing the ducks to get them to eat, going on a short nature hike with Steve, playing on the playground, eating frog cupcakes, and blowing bubbles. Here is a picture of his frog cupcakes. Then that night we had spaghetti for his favorite dinner...which he couldn't quit talking about all day or the week before...they had to be long noodles, not the short ones.

Don't you love Steve's face, yes he planned on looking that way.

And then later that night we had family and friends over for his frog pond cake (more frog cupcakes) and ice cream. And boy did he get spoiled...he got everything a little 4 year old boy could ever want. But the sad thing is, he has really bad allergies right now, so most of the night was spent crying because his eyes hurt so bad. But luckily he was excited, I mean really excited to open his gifts. This is him getting his own basketball and him saying "yes my own basketball!!" And he was sad to find out he can't jump on his grandparents tramp for a few days because of the allergies...the tramp is under a walnut tree that is pollinating, so we will have to wait until all that clears out of the air. But he told me he had a great birthday and got everything he wanted for his birthday, and he loved playing with his friends...so I would say it was a successful day!
