OK, so I haven't blogged in a couple of weeks, boy kids not being in school keeps you busy. But I will catch up soon. But for now a simple sweet story from last night. We were having family prayer and scripture, when Benny said let's have Family Home Evening because we didn't do it last night(yes I know it wasn't Monday, but we were shopping on Monday for Steve to get some running shoes). Steve said it's late we will do it another night, Benny went crazy with a fit (imagine that Benny throwing a fit..weird huh...LOL). And finally I said you are right Benny we will have a quick one without the activity and treat, and we will do those tomm. night(because we are going to the Oquirrah Mountain Temple Open House). So we started with our song, Tyson chose Sunbeams (and jumped high enough to leave his feet for the first time, I know it is late but he is a big boy!). Emily read us scriptures from the New Testament, and Byron gave us a lesson on the temple. He told us how important the temple is and how you can feel the spirit there if we listen. And then he bore his testimony about Temples...he started talking and then quit...he was so overwhelmed by the spirit, that he started to sob and testify of how important it is that we are in tune enough to feel the spirit at the temple, and how if we are good that we can be together forever and he can be sealed in the temple when he is older, and that we will be able to gain a testimony because we have felt the spirit. It was a very spiritual moment, not a single word was spoken to interrupt him, all the kids were listening to him.
I am amazed and humbled to have such wonderful spirits in my home. It amazes me how in tune they can be to the spirit, and how they can recognize the spirit at such a young age. What a wonderful blessing the gospel is in my life, and in my family's lives. I am grateful to have this knowledge and for my children to be gaining a testimony of the Temple and the gospel. I can't wait to go to the open house tonight and be with my kids in the Celestial room, and look at their faces as we look in the mirrors....I love this Gospel!!!!
