Brodie

Our friend and fellow ward member Brodie has suffered a lot this week. He went in for heart surgery last Monday. After the surgery they realized that his lungs were filled with fluids and that I line had bursted in his right leg capillary. They put him in a drug induced coma, and the next day performed a surgery to drain the lungs. Then the following day they said they would take him off of life support to see if he would live or die...miraculously his lungs began to drain and work and he was breathing on his own, but they suspected damage to his leg. Then the next day we found out he had a blood clot by his heart, and now today we find out he has a an infection in his leg and they will decide whether or not during surgery whether or not it needs to be amputated. He had been heavily sedated the entire time and has no idea what has been going. His wife and children have been up in salt lake with family the entire time. As I first heard the news I sobbed...here I am her visiting teacher, her sons cub scout leader, and her daughters old Sunday school teacher, and there is nothing I can do to help them by giving hugs, or letting them cry and talk to me. All I can do is pray for them and fast for them along with the rest of the ward. And at the same time I can't help but think and picture poor Nelcy and what she must be going through. I can't help but think what I would do or how I would be feeling. I know that I would be hysterical, and it would be a trial of my faith. So now I ask each one of you to pray for the Sebresos family, pray that he will recover quickly, pray that all the problems will go away, and most of all pray that his wife and his 2 kids will receive comfort and more love from our Heavenly Father. I hope you can join me in these prayers to help this young father, scout leader, and wonderful husband.
