Potty Training still...

I am so frustrated, everything I knew, have read, and thought about potty training has gone out the window with Tyson. This kid will not wake up for anything to go potty, and to make things worse, now he has a horrible habit of waiting until he pees a little and then goes potty.  He will not go if we ask him too.  He will not go for treats or anything else.  We have tried rewarding him with parties, toys, stickers, candy, you name it we have tried.  We have tried ignoring it hoping it would cure itself.  We have tried waking him up in the night.  We have tried pullups, going back to diapers at night, etc...but nothing.  I am so tired of washing bedding, blankets, chairs/couches(where he falls asleep), underwear, pants, giving millions of baths and seeing his poor body be scared by scary looking rashes because it is burning his skin at times.  I feel so bad for him when I look at his rashes, but I am at my wits end to know what to do.  Anybody out there have any suggestions that maybe we haven't tried, I am desperate.  And I am beginning to think he will never learn and that it would be easier to have him in diapers...but maybe there is something wrong with his little system, maybe we should have him checked out...I don't know...all I know is I think Sarah will be potty trained before he will...not that we have even attempted that yet.

My younger sister would wet the bed at night and my parents tried all kinds of things, including a beat the bell program that drove all of us nuts. They finally discovered that she had a milk allergy that caused her to sleep to deeply. They eliminated milk after lunch and it worked. Have his system checked out by a specialist just to make nothing physically is making it difficult for him. Good luck!!!

How old is he? Does he get most of it in the toilet during the day? Waterproof pads were a life saver for me when my kids were potty training. I guess that doesn't help with chairs and couches though. A lot of kids wet the bed at night. I know 8 and 9 year olds that still wear a pull up at night. It will save you a lot of washing. Every kid has their own style. Leah was very stubborn and the worst of my kids to potty train. Sounds like you've tried everything...but one day something will work. Good luck!

I'm sorry! My Benny is having problems too, and your attempts for success sound so familiar...toys, candy, treats etc.
I am in no way an expert, but I kind of agree to maybe take him in to get checked if it is such a problem. Never hurts to ask a doctor (except the $20, hour+ of your time, and sanity of dragging possibly 5 kids). Good luck!

I don't know why but my comments never show up on your blog! It is so weird. It shows up at first, but then if I come back to it like today they're gone.
So anyway, I did comment but have no advice. Good luck

Ha ha just realized they have to be approved. No wonder they don't show up. I swear it was there yesterday though.
