It really has been a long time since I posted on my blog, long enough for someone to spam it and connect it to some stupid site...sorry for those who it did that too.
Things have been crazy and the kids are growing up so fast. Byron and Benny are playing flag football and Benny scored his first touchdown. Byron is amazing me at how much better he is and how good he is getting at the game. Tyson played soccer and did well. Emily ran her first race it was a mile run and placed first out of her elementary school, and 26th overall, I was very proud. Sarah and Mary are getting so big and it is fun to be home with them in the morning...my mornings are always filled with little girls giggling...
Steve and I have stayed busy, he was called in August as the second counselor in the Bishopric, and I was called to the Primary Second Counselor. It keeps us busy, but we love it!!!
Pioneer Trek was amazing, and now I realize why we went through so many trials the past year...from me almost dying to being overrun by mice to sewer backing up all over our home. It was because we needed to experience those things to realize how strong we were and that together through prayer and faith we could overcome our trials. I have never been on a trek where I felt the spirit stronger than I did this last trek. We went to Martin's Cove, Willie Center, and Rock Creek Hollow. WE walked on sacred ground and heard amazing testimonies from the youth of our stake in a place that President Hinckley had said Jesus had walked. I will never forget that amazing week and how many heroes I know have that are the youth in my stake...what amazing youth we have, we are in such good hands for the future.
Then in August we went camping as a family up Big Cottonwood Canyon, it was so much fun to camp just as our little family, get dirty, chase squirrels and potguts, go on hikes and get dirty. We ended the week in SLC at a hotel where we went to Seven Peaks, saw Temple Square, went to the drive in and ate yummy food.
Back in April we visited Texas and had a blast with my parents and going to Houston/Galveston area where we went to the beach, NASA, and a Houston Rockets Game.
My mom was diagnosed with a tumor on her brain, but after months of medication it has shrunk to nothing and she is getting better.
I had many friends go on missions...Jessica Payton, AriAnn Lamb, and Matthew Jones.
One of the best parts of this last year has been going to the Brigham City Temple together as a family (and our adopted child for the night Conner Johnson) , I have loved talking with my kids on the importance of being married in the temple, and how we are a forever family. What a blessing that is in my life to know I will be with my amazing kids and amazing hubby for eternity. I love this gospel...it is amazing!!!
As you can tell things have been so crazy, but that is our life and I wouldn't have it any other way.
