A night with My Fair Lady

So, last week I got this phone call...but let me start a little bit before that. As I was getting the kids ready for bed (Steve was at a late Bishopric mtg.), we decided to exercise. So I was teaching them push ups, jumping jacks, and sit ups. I was helping Emily do sit ups, and Tyson was crying because I wasn't just holding him (I was helping Emily remember), Benjamin was crying because he didn't get his way with something, and Byron answers the phone. He brings it to me and says it is for me. So I said well they will have to wait a second, so I put the phone down so that I could finish helping Emily, and walk out of the room from the crying, while telling Emily and Byron to entertain Tyson and Ben for me for a second. I got on the phone and the guy was laughing and he said "Is this a bad time?" Well I thought it was someone from the ward or stake, so I laughed and said no it will be OK. So he said "this is ...(I can't remember his name) from FM 100's Love Songs after dark and you are our weekly winner." And because I could barley hear him I said oh really. And then he went on to tell me the prize was 2 tickets to see My Fair Lady. So then I got a little more excited. He asked me if I could use a night out, because it sure sounded like I could...and I just laughed and said yes 4 kids can run you ragged. And then he gave me details on how to get the tickets, etc.

So anyways I won tickets to My Fair Lady for Steve (who is far from being excited about it, but is being a good sport about it) and me, and I got a chance to sound really dumb on the radio. So hopefully no one I know heard me. And the funny thing about it all is I don't know when I signed up to win the tickets. The one and only time I have ever been on their website was last March or April when they were giving Disneyland trips away...so I guess I got lucky and stayed in their computer system...yea for me!!

So Steve get ready for an awesome time with My Fair Lady and a hot date!!!

That is so cute! I love that story. I WISH I heard you on the radio. It would have made me feel good, knowing that more families are like mine (and mind you, my two kids make as much noise as 4!). Congrats. HAVE FUN!!! I love My Fair Lady. Seriously, one of my top favorites. I always wished I could have seen Julie Andrews play it on Broadway.

Jenni's coming to visit on Saturday. I haven't seen her since Eddie's Wedding when Abi was a few months old. Wish you could come and we'd have a girls weekend :)
