So today is my dad's 70th b-day! I know I can't believe it either. My dad is an amazing man, who is so willing to serve others and loves to tell stories. He has lived an amazing life from serving in the Army and National Guard, the Vietnam War, and serving in various church callings. He has lived all over the world, and can speak a little bit from all of those other countries...even if they are mostly funny words. He was my softball coach for most of the years I played, and he taught me everything I know about sports. He helped me develop a love for sports and especially watching football...Go Cowboys!! He and my mom have taught me to have a deep love for my Heavenly Father and my savior Jesus Christ. They were the ones that kept me going to church, mutual, especially Seminary. He was always there for me when I needed someone to act crazy with, like being stuck in construction in the mountains of Utah for an hour, and getting out and dancing with me and singing at the top of our lungs. He has taught me a love for others and a love for music. He always believed in me no matter what I was doing. Whether it was playing sports, or playing the clarinet, or being drum major, or going to BYU, or getting married to someone he had never met. He has a deep love for his wife, his girls, his son-in-laws (which I know he loves having around to shoot and fish with), and especially his 7 grandchildren (with 2 more on the way this summer and fall). He is a great example to all of us, and we love his stories and his sense of humor! So dad I hope it is a wonderful day for you....wish we could be there to share it with you!!!! We love you and have aHAPPY 70th BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!
