Blessings...and a little snow

OK, I have so many things to be thankful for (see later part of blog), but right now I have to vent on all this stupid snow!!!! I am so sick of snow. I am so sick of weather men telling me it is going to snow only that night, and Provo area gets slammed nonstop for the next 2 days!!! I am tired of having to drive in the snow with all the crazy drivers (especially crazy mom's from school) and worrying that they are going to hit me or slam their brakes because they don't have a license in the first place (don't get me started on this topic, I will save it for a later day). So snow please go away. Just like it says in my favorite movie Seven Brides for Seven Brothers "Will the snow ever end?"

OK on to our great news and blessing for 2009. Steve just finished last semester 2 classes to qualify him to Student Teach for Seminary. We got a letter in December saying he wasn't chosen, but to try again next year. But to our surprise this morning, his professor called and said they had an opening and he was first in line for it! We are so excited, he will be teaching every day for one hour for an academy by UVU. So we feel so blessed to have this opportunity. Yes, it does pay a little, but hey it is better than nothing. And RC Willey will work with his schedule (yippee for the Willey!!!) And after a few semesters (or maybe one) he can be hired as a full time instructor for Seminary!!!!!! So this is just another faith building experience for Steve and I. With faith, dedication, prayer, and fasting prayers will be answered, but it is always in the Lord's time. So I am so grateful to a loving Heavenly Father who loves me and my family and always helps us find a way to make things work...we have been so blessed!!

And for my final blessing so far....Christmas Eve I started having problems, and thought I might miscarry. I was showing all the signs, and Steve gave me a blessing. It didn't say either way what would happen. All it said was that Heavenly Father was holding on to this baby tightly because it was special, and that I would be ok health wise. After a week of bed rest (which I absolutely felt helpless with, so thanks to Steve and the family for helping so much), and an ultrasound, tests and appointments with my doctor we were delighted to find out all was well with the baby. We saw the heartbeat, my tests came back all negative, and the symptoms/signs of miscarriage went away. Then Steve gave me another blessing that said all would be fine with this baby. So again, I am grateful to a wonderful, loving, caring Heavenly Father who cares a lot about me. I am grateful for the priesthood, and the power in blessings. I am grateful for family, children, and especially for a loving husband who helps me even when he is dead tired. So at the beginning of this New Year I have so many things all ready that I am thankful for...what a great way to start the New Year with so many blessings!!!

Congratulations Steve! (And the rest of the family too.) That's pretty amazing, I hope it doesn't get too hectic with the another thing to keep your family busy for a while! I'm glad you're feeling better with your pregnancy. Hopefully it continues in a nice normal way so you won't have to worry any more.

Boo Snow!!!

Congratulations on the Seminary gig. What an opportunity opening up so quickly. Wow! I am also glad to hear that the pregnancy is doing better. I really dislike that feeling that something is going wrong, then it is hard to think of anything else. I hope and pray that it stays good from here on out.

I don't think that I would like to drive in the snow everyday either. I just wish we had more consistancy with out temperatures.
