So the following post is just my frustrations from the public and basically it is just ranting from a pregnant woman!
Why is it when you are pregnant people think it is OK to say wow you are big for your due date, or rub your belly. Any other time they would never say wow you are big for your height or age (not as an adult at least). I am so tired of being told wow you look really big, are you sure you aren't having twins? Or they look at my belly find out the due date and look surprised and kind of disgusted. All I can say is have some manners people...after you have been pregnant 5 times...see how big you are...then you can talk some trash to me, otherwise if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all!!!!!

I'd like to think people are pretty much oblivious instead of rude. (I tend to be pretty oblivious.) I know I've thought some people must surely be having twins or have their due date wrong - but I never thought they were just pigging out or anything.
I've only had one uninvited belly rub, so I count myself lucky!
Hang in there!

I guess I am just tired of feeling so much bigger than everyone else around, too many first time moms around me, so I get compared to them alot. I wish my belly was from pigging out, then at least I would feel like I had a reason to get strange looks. :)
You're exactly right. I'm on my 3rd and it does get bigger with each one. Hang in there. I've had the twins comment a few times already and plenty of belly rubs. Be thankful they know you're "big" b/c of pregnancy and not just b/c of FAT. :) At least there IS a baby in there!
Kristy is right..they're just oblivious. Smile and smile and smile. My sister told me to just tell them the baby will come any day. Ha ha ha. It will, eventually, right?
Oh, yes, the lovely "Wow...are you sure your dates are right?" or "Are you sure there aren't two in there?" I can't count the number of times I was asked that with my pregnancies. I guess they don't realize how rude and inconsiderate they are being...and don't know that even when you are pregnant, it doesn't make you feel GOOD to be told how big you are...
It definitely made me more conscious to tell pregnant women how great they look....pregnancy is such a blessing and miracle in itself....so carry that little belly with pride and joy!! :)
