Busy Times...Fun Times

So I feel like my life is going a million miles a minute...but I love it!! I love being busy, because it keeps me on my toes. I love being busy with kids activities, church activities, and with all the family activities we have going on. YW Camp and Pioneer Trek are coming up so fast, and I can't wait to go on both of them...and I still hope that Steve will be able to be called to go on both of them also. It is funny to me because people think that because we both have callings working with the youth, that our kids suffer. But I know differently. I know my kids love spending time with their grandparents, with their babysitter (who we consider family), and they love how we take extra time to make sure they have fun adventures with Steve and I. And overall I know our family is blessed and our kids learn the importance of serving the Lord.

It's funny to me because I am getting ready for the trek, and now Emily loves to dress up as a pioneer all the time. And I also hear her and Byron talking about what the pioneers did and what they went through. It makes me smile to see that at such a young age they have a reverence for the handcart pioneers, and the early church pioneers in general.

All I want to know is where does all the time go? It seems like my kids are growing up so fast...
Emily is turning into a preteen way to fast...she loves Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus and wants her b-day party this month to be a Hannah Montana theme. I guess she is getting to old for the little cutesy things.
And then there is our little Tyson...ok so he isn't that little. He is crawling everywhere, using his walker to walk everywhere else, eating anything in sight (especially paper), trying to figure out stairs and learning new words like Da Da, Ma Ma, Hi, By (Byron), Be (Ben), and Emmmmm (Emily). He is so smart and so cute, and he is funny. He loves to pull my hair and laugh when I scream from the pain....just like his brothers. They must get it from their dad to find it funny to pick on me! :)

And Ben & Byron are so big now that they can play basketball against eachother (or lets say Benny just shoots, and Byron steals the ball from him while Ben runs around crying and trying to catch him). Oh brotherly love!!!!

All I can say is don't let those little moments of one on one time with your kids pass you by, because before you know it they will be into pop stars, basketball stars, and listening to their music! And you will wonder where the years of blues clues and dora the explorer have gone. But I do love being able to watch chick flicks, go shopping, and talk about clothes with Emily. And I love talking with Byron about basketball, the gospel, and who reminds him of Pokemon characters. And the best thing of all is they are still cute and fun at this age...and as you can see they can act crazy like their mom!!!
