Funny Benny

OK so here is another funny Benny moment. At our church on Sunday's the Spanish branch follows our meetings. So when we are getting out of church they are barely getting out of Sacrament meeting. So this past Sunday we were waiting by the Bishops office for Steve to finish talking about his campout. Benny was standing next to Tyson's stroller, and the Spanish Branch was beginning to say a prayer. One of our friends pointed out to me how cute it was to see him folding his arms and bowing his head during their prayer (we were standing in the Lobby). I just smiled and said yes he does a good job with it. A few seconds later I heard him say "Stupid, Stupid." Then I looked at him and watched. He kept looking up to see if he could hear if the prayer was done (which I find funny because it was in Spanish...and he doesn't know Spanish). And everytime he opened his eyes he would say"Stupid prayer, stupid prayer." And then he would go back to bowing his head and closing his eyes. The prayer was at least 3 minutes long, but the whole time he kept saying "Stupid prayer when you going end." I was laughing my head off. And when it was finally done he said Amen (again I don't know how he understood it was done) and smiled. He looked at me and said "I closed my eyes for the prayer Mommy!" I just smiled and gave him a big kiss and told him good job. Boy he is a funny and patient kid.

And on a final note Emily passed her kindergarden test yesterday with 206/207!!! We are so proud of her!

What a fun story about Ben! I love reading about your guys on your blog. Byron's 100 dollar bill story was great, too. Your kids have honesty and prayers down pat.
Congratulations to Emily! A Kindergarten graduate! And I hope you had a Happy Birthday, too.

Man, I wish I was there to see Benny for this one! I'm laughing just imagining him being mad at the prayer. I guess sometimes we all think "When is this going to end?" but Benny just says it. Hee hee.
